About the “My Mother, My Safe Haven” Initiative
As part of Al-Yousuf Center for Psychological and Health Guidance’s efforts to promote mental health and support community groups facing difficult psychological and social circumstances, the “My Mother, My Safe Haven” initiative was implemented to support mothers and women facing challenges related to losing custody of their children or experiencing difficulties maintaining contact with them.
The initiative targeted mothers and women who had lost the right to see or meet their children, including divorced and separated women, who may experience psychological and social distress as a result of difficult family circumstances and the associated feelings of loss, deprivation, and anxiety.
The initiative reflects Al-Yousuf Center’s commitment to providing psychological and social support to individuals and groups in need, promoting psychological well-being, and helping individuals cope with life and family challenges in more positive and constructive ways.
The “My Mother, My Safe Haven” initiative also highlights the importance of addressing mothers’ mental health needs and providing a supportive space where they can express their feelings and cope with the psychological pressures resulting from their circumstances. This support can contribute to strengthening their ability to adapt and move forward.
Through this initiative, Al-Yousuf Center for Psychological and Health Guidance reaffirms its commitment to implementing community programs and initiatives that promote psychological awareness, provide support to individuals and families, and contribute to building a more supportive and cohesive community.
